Service Description
Our Introduction Day is the perfect first step for dogs to join our boarding or pack walking & socialization services. Held at our tranquil farm above Kaukapakapa, this 3.5-hour session allows us to get to know your dog and assess their behavior, personality, and needs in a safe, controlled environment. During the Introduction Day, we carefully observe and interact with your dog to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and any areas where they may need additional support. This helps us tailor our services to ensure your dog thrives and gets the most out of their time with us. The day overlaps with one to two other dogs completing their introduction, giving us the opportunity to assess how your dog interacts with others and to determine if they are ready to join our group services or if more individual attention is needed. If we feel that a more customized approach is required for the safety and well-being of your dog or the other dogs, we may recommend our Iron It Out: Tailored Canine Confidence Building. We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before the conclusion of your dog's Introduction Day to discuss their progress and any recommendations moving forward. NOTE: This service is required before a dog can join our boarding, pack walking, or socialisation programs. We look forward to welcoming your dog and helping them succeed in our care!

Cancellation Policy
Please note that due to the number of enquiries we receive we are unable to hold spots without confirmation and payment for longer than three business days. Responding and paying as quickly as possible will ensure this slot is confirmed for you. Our cancellation policy for our training services applies as follows: Cancellation within 48hrs of the confirmed booking’s date will result in no refund or customer credit issued; Cancellation between 48hrs and 72hrs of the confirmed booking’s date will result in a 50% customer credit on your account. The credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue and must be used on The Canine Counsellor’s services; Cancellation prior to 72hrs of the confirmed booking’s date will result in a full refund or customer credit, whichever you prefer. All credits will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue and must be used on our services.
